About the center:
The ARTISAN RESOURCE CENTER was created as a center where Artisans could establish a business plying their trade and make a living at it.

The center houses 25 studios in more than 43,000 square feet with Artists and Craftsmen working in the fields of  sculpture, screen printing, custom furniture making,   portrait painting, contemporary painting, ceramics, wood turning, textiles, architecture, wood working, decorative arts, jewelry, graphics, advertising, and theatre .

The facility was established in 1986 and artists in the center primarily serve the architectural, design, commercial and wholesale markets, although several studios concentrate on retail sales of art and art instruction/classes. Studio rental is available.

Artisans are able to share information and keep each other up to date on shows, new techniques, or pass on business opportunities to one another through client contacts, and, the center makes it easy for a client to follow the progress of a multi-medium piece by simply walking from studio to studio.

In 2001 the name of the facility was changed from "Nunn Complex Fine & Functional Art Center", which referenced the historical  aspect of the builder of the building (Barney Nunn) and was changed to Artisan Resource Center  (A.R.C.) to express a more representative identity.
